James Garland

James Garland

Dr. James Garland is a graduate of U of L dental school, and is happy to be back in the area after practicing down in Orlando, FL. Dr. Garland comes from a long line of dentists, and is happy to continue the family tradition in service of the residents of Kentuckiana. In his free time, he enjoys hitting up local markets and fairs, watching movies, target shooting, and brewing his own beer.

Emily Kern


Emily, is one of our hygienists. She graduated from the University of Southern Indiana in 2010 and has been apart of this practice ever since. She and her Husband, Matthew, live in Corydon. In their spare time they enjoy disc golf and spending time with family. They're actively involved in their church and community.

Alison Smith


Alison Smith lives in Floyds Knobs with her husband Sean and her two daughters Bailey and Riley. Alison has been involved in dentistry at this practice for over 22 years and has loved getting to know all of the patients. She enjoys all types of music and has played the piano since she was 5 years old. She is very involved with her church and has been their pianist for over 25 years. She and her family love rooting on the Notre Dame football team and try to go to at least one game a year.

Alonna Beardsley


Alonna is one of our hygienists. She graduated from the University of Louisville in 2007 and has been happily practicing dental hygiene in this office for the past ten years. She has a wonderful husband of 12 years and 2 children with another one on the way. They're actively involved in sports, church and volunteering, and love spending family time together.

Cris McDowell


Cris was born and raised in New Albany, and was a long time member of Dr. Tom Myers office until his recent retirement. She feels blessed to now be a part of the Spring Family Dental team. She enjoys spending quality time with her husband Jim and her children and grandchildren. She’s a board member of Harvest Homecoming and is actively involved in her church.

Amanda Browning


Amanda has been our our assistant for over ten years. She’s a born and raised Husker transplant from Nebraska. She has a beautiful 8 year old daughter Sofia. Amanda enjoys coaching Sofia’s competitive swim team, anything adventurous or outdoors, and is actively involved in volunteer work and church. In her spare time she also enjoys photography.
